(Where he comes from)
He started out teaching people how other people think.
Lance started at Apple as a market trainer. That’s where he learned the behavioral psychology he still teaches, about how people think and how they decide. The more he learned, the more he saw it applied to anyone who sells for a living and is trying to build something.
He went on to be Chief Innovation Officer at the largest Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate in the U.S., then National Head of Agent Development at Compass. He’s a TEDx speaker, the host of the Market Ready podcast, and the author of The Senior Partner.
A lot of what he knows came from interviewing buyers and sellers about what the process felt like. Most coaching in this industry never talks to the consumer at all.

(What he believes)
Good coaching makes you need the coach less.
The test Lance runs on every session is whether it builds your ability to run your business without him, or trains you to need him. Three years from now, the goal is that you’re better at this than you are today and you’d be fine on your own. We’d rather you didn’t want to go.
(In their words)

Fifteen minutes is enough to know.
Lance takes every first call himself. He’ll ask how you work now and what you want to build, then tell you whether this fits.
